# Intel Graphics Command Center

Application: Intel

Also called igcc, intel graphics command center, intel graphics control panel

Intel, Drivers

Microsoft Store app for Intel integrated-graphics settings. The process is IGCC.exe. It is not Intel Arc Control.

## What you need to know

IGCC is the Intel iGPU settings app. Arc Control is the discrete sibling.

Intel Graphics Command Center is a Microsoft Store app that tunes Intel integrated graphics. Intel Arc Control is the separate app for discrete Arc GPUs. Neither file is the kernel display driver.

- **What is it?**: Store app for Intel iGPU settings

**Same as Arc Control?**: No. Arc Control is the discrete GPU app

**Is it the driver?**: No. The graphics driver is a separate package

Feex says

If you have Intel graphics in the CPU and someone sent you Arc Control, that is the wrong sibling. I look for Intel Graphics Command Center in the Store, not a random IGCC exe.

## What is Intel Graphics Command Center?

Intel Graphics Command Center is Intel's Store app for display, video, and some game settings on Intel integrated GPUs. Arc Control is the discrete Arc sibling. The Intel graphics driver still comes from Windows Update, OEM images, or Intel's driver download.

## If you have never used it

If your laptop uses Intel graphics inside the CPU, this is the settings app Intel put in the Microsoft Store. It is not Intel Arc Control, which belongs on a discrete Arc card. You do not need a third-party "IGCC setup" exe. The display driver can exist without this Store app.

## What is it used for?

**Display and video settings**

Scaling, color, and video options for the Intel iGPU. This is not the Windows Settings display page alone.

**Per-game profiles**

Optional profiles on supported Intel graphics. Arc Control has a different profile UI for discrete cards.

**Driver status in the app**

The app can show driver info. Installing a driver still happens through Intel, Windows Update, or the PC vendor.

## Who is it for?

- Laptops and desktops that use Intel integrated graphics
- People who still search for Intel Graphics Control Panel
- Users who should not install Arc Control on an iGPU-only PC

## Current status

Still the named Store app for many Intel iGPU PCs. Intel has also published newer graphics software brands for some discrete products. This article is IGCC, not Arc Control.

## How old is it?

The old Intel Graphics Control Panel was a desktop exe. IGCC arrived in 2019 as a Store app. Arc Control came later for discrete Arc. A 2014 Control Panel screenshot is not this product.

## Versions

Major channels first. Exact build numbers are not all verified here.

## System requirements

Values follow the publisher's public guidance. Workload still changes the real need.

### Minimum

| GPU | Intel HD, UHD, Iris, or other supported Intel integrated graphics, per Intel's download notes |
| ---------------- | ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Operating system | A current supported Windows 10 or Windows 11 release that can install the Store app, per Intel |

## Resource profile

- **CPU demand**: Low. It is a settings app

**GPU demand**: Uses the Intel iGPU only for preview and the desktop

## Installed processes

These executables belong to this product when it is installed.

| IGCC.exe | Command Center window |
| -------- | --------------------- |

## Startup components

IGCC does not need to start with Windows for the Intel driver to work. A Store update can add a helper. That is still not Arc Control.

## File locations

| Typical install | WindowsApps package for IntelGraphicsCommandCenter |
| --------------- | -------------------------------------------------- |

## Common problems

### Installed Arc Control on an iGPU PC

Arc Control is the discrete GPU sibling. IGCC is the Store app this article covers. Wrong sibling, wrong settings surface.

### Missing after a Windows reinstall

It is a Store app. Reinstall from the Microsoft Store or Intel download 197910, not from a filename host.

## Getting unstuck

### Get it from the Store or Intel download 197910

Those are the supported paths. An IGCC.exe in Downloads is the wrong story.

### Update the Intel graphics driver separately

IGCC is settings. The driver package comes from Intel, Windows Update, or the PC maker. Do not hunt Lenovo or ASUS OEM utility pages as a substitute for this article.

### If you have a discrete Arc card, open Arc Control instead

That sibling owns the discrete GPU UI. IGCC will not replace it.

## Alternatives

NVIDIA App and AMD Software are the discrete-vendor companions. Windows Settings still owns some display options on every PC.
