# Logi Options+

Application: Logitech

Also called logi options+, options plus, logitech options plus, logioptionsplus

Logitech, Drivers

Logitech's keyboard and mouse app for MX and similar productivity devices. The process is logioptionsplus.exe. It replaces Options. It is not G HUB.

## What you need to know

Options+ is the MX app. G HUB is the G-gaming app.

logioptionsplus.exe is Logitech's current host for MX Keys, MX Master, and similar devices. It replaces classic Logitech Options. G HUB remains the separate host for Logitech G hardware.

- **What is it?**: MX keyboard and mouse settings app

**Same as G HUB?**: No. G HUB is the gaming G line

**Replaces Options?**: Yes. Classic Options is the older app

Feex says

If an MX Master gesture stopped working, I open Options+, not G HUB. I also do not hunt the 2016 Options installer unless the device is too old for Options+.

## What is Logi Options+?

Logi Options+ is the current Windows app for Logitech MX and other supported productivity mice and keyboards. It replaces Logitech Options. It does not manage Logitech G gaming devices. That is G HUB.

## If you have never used it

If you have an MX Master, MX Keys, or a similar Logi office device, this is the app for gestures, Flow, and button mapping. Download it from logitech.com. Classic Options is the older app this one replaces. G HUB is the other Logitech icon, for G gaming gear.

## What is it used for?

**Button and gesture mapping**

MX Master gestures and MX Keys shortcuts. G HUB macros will not show up here.

**Logi Flow and multi-computer**

Move pointer and clipboard across PCs on supported devices. This is an Options+ feature, not G HUB.

**Firmware and Logi account extras**

Device firmware and optional Smart Actions live in this app for supported hardware.

## Who is it for?

- MX Master, MX Keys, and similar Logi productivity users
- People migrating off classic Logitech Options
- Desks that run G HUB beside this app for a separate G mouse

## Current status

Actively developed as the Options replacement. Classic Options is legacy for devices Options+ does not list.

## How old is it?

Logitech Options was the 2010s productivity host. Options+ launched in 2022 with a new UI and Logi account extras. SetPoint is even older. None of those names are G HUB.

## Versions

Major channels first. Exact build numbers are not all verified here.

Options+

Logitech Options (legacy)

SetPoint (older still)

## System requirements

Values follow the publisher's public guidance. Workload still changes the real need.

### Minimum

| Hardware | A device Logitech lists for Options+. G-only devices belong in G HUB |
| ---------------- | -------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Operating system | A current supported Windows 10 or Windows 11 release, per Logitech |

## Resource profile

- **CPU demand**: Low when idle

**RAM demand**: Moderate for a device host with a modern UI

## Installed processes

These executables belong to this product when it is installed.

| logioptionsplus.exe | Main app |
| ------------------------- | ----------------------------- |
| logioptionsplus_agent.exe | Device agent on many installs |

## Startup components

Options+ typically starts an agent so gestures work at sign-in. Disable startup inside Options+ if you want a manual launch.

## File locations

| Typical install | C:\Program Files\LogiOptionsPlus\\ |
| --------------- | ---------------------------------- |

## Common problems

### Installed G HUB for an MX mouse

G HUB will not treat an MX Master as a G device. Options+ is the app this article covers.

### Old device missing from Options+

Some older Options devices never moved. Logitech still documents classic Options for those SKUs.

## Getting unstuck

### Download Options+ from logitech.com, not a "Logitech Options 2024" ad

The current name is Logi Options+. Classic Options is the older installer.

### Check the device list inside Options+ before you reinstall Windows

Unsupported hardware needs classic Options or is end of software support. That is a Logitech list, not a driver-store failure.

### Keep G HUB installed only if you also own G hardware

Two Logitech hosts on one PC is normal for a mixed desk. They are not interchangeable.

## Alternatives

G HUB is the G-line sibling. Microsoft Mouse and Keyboard Center covers some Microsoft devices. PowerToys Mouse Utilities is not a Logitech host.

## Related hardware

Options+ expects a supported Logi productivity device over USB or Logi Bolt/Unifying. It will not program a G Pro or a Razer mouse.
