Feex says

If the process is Notion Calendar.exe, that is the Cron app, not Outlook and not the Notion docs wrapper. I would not run outlook.exe /safe to fix it.

## What is Notion Calendar?

Notion Calendar is the Cron calendar under a Notion name. Notion Calendar.exe is the Windows process. Classic Outlook is OUTLOOK.EXE. Notion.exe is the docs database app.

## If you have never used it

If you used Cron and the app renamed itself, this is Notion Calendar, not Outlook. Download it from notion.com/product/calendar. Notion.exe is the docs workspace. Notion Calendar.exe is the calendar. OUTLOOK.EXE is Microsoft mail and calendar. They do not share a PST.

## What is it used for?

**Google Calendar in a desktop shell**

Cron's original job. Outlook calendar is an Exchange or Microsoft 365 mailbox instead.

**Link events to Notion pages**

A Notion integration. Outlook does not open those pages as native items.

**Scheduling Cron was known for**

Booking links the app still markets. That is not Outlook booking via Microsoft Bookings.

## Who is it for?

- People who already used Cron
- Notion users who want a desktop calendar
- Anyone who should not open Outlook looking for Cron scheduling links

## Current status

Actively developed as Notion Calendar. This article is the Windows calendar app, not Notion.exe.

### Two Notion tiles

Notion.exe is pages and databases. Notion Calendar.exe is the calendar. Ending one does not quit the other.

### People look for a PST

This app is not classic Outlook. There is no scanpst.exe for Cron.

## Getting unstuck

### Install from notion.com/product/calendar

The Notion desktop docs download will not replace this calendar exe. Outlook setup will not either.

### Sign in with the Google or Notion path the app offers

A Microsoft 365 mailbox belongs in Outlook. This client is not olk.exe.

### If you needed Exchange and PST, use classic Outlook

Notion Calendar will not grow MAPI. That is the sibling-swap test.

## Alternatives

Classic Outlook, New Outlook, and Google Calendar in a browser overlap. Outlook is the Microsoft sibling this article is not.
