# NoxPlayer

Application: Nox

Also called nox player, nox app player, bignox

Nox, Games

An Android emulator. Treat extra bundled offers with care. The process is Nox.exe. It is not BlueStacks.

## What you need to know

Nox.exe is NoxPlayer. Read the installer offers.

BigNox’s emulator is not BlueStacks and not LDPlayer. The official site is bignox.com. Extra bundled offers are the usual mess.

- **What is it?**: Android emulator. Process is Nox.exe

**Same as BlueStacks?**: No. Different vendor

  **Installer extras?**: Decline them

Feex says

If Nox.exe appeared after an emulator install, I would look at bignox.com and the checkboxes you clicked. I would not follow a BlueStacks Hyper-V article blindly.

## What is NoxPlayer?

NoxPlayer is BigNox’s Android emulator. Nox.exe is the usual process. Bundled extras in the installer are why this article tells you to read every checkbox.

## If you have never used it

If the emulator window says Nox, this is NoxPlayer from BigNox. Download it from bignox.com if you actually want it. Decline extra offers in the installer. The process is Nox.exe. It is not BlueStacks (HD-Player.exe) and not LDPlayer (dnplayer.exe). GameLoop is Tencent’s PUBG-focused emulator.

## What is it used for?

**Android games in a Nox window**

Same broad job as BlueStacks, different exe and vendor. GameLoop still steers PUBG Mobile players to Tencent’s build.

**Multi-instance**

Nox documents multiple instances. RAM dies the same way it does in LDPlayer.

**Installer offers**

Treat partner checkboxes as optional junk. BlueStacks and LDPlayer have their own offer habits. Nox is the one this page warns about by name.

## Who is it for?

- People who chose Nox from bignox.com
- Users who still have a Nox App Player shortcut
- Anyone who should uncheck bundled offers

## Current status

NoxPlayer (2015) is a current android emulator from Nox. The vendor still points Windows users at https://www.bignox.com/.

## How old is it?

Nox / BigNox shipped an Android emulator in the mid-2010s, after BlueStacks and before LDPlayer’s ad wave. Older “Nox App Player” names are this family. A 2011 BlueStacks guide is the wrong vendor.

## Versions

## System requirements

Values follow the publisher's public guidance. Workload still changes the real need.

### Minimum

| Operating system | A current supported Windows 10 or Windows 11 release, per BigNox’s PC notes |
| ---------------- | --------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| RAM | Several GB free for the VM, per the vendor. Offers on top waste more |

## Resource profile

- **CPU demand**: The Android VM

**RAM demand**: Instances plus any bundled extras

## Installed processes

These executables belong to this product when it is installed.

| Nox.exe | Main Windows executable |
| ------- | ----------------------- |

## Startup components

Nox can start with Windows. Turn that off in Nox settings if you do not want Nox.exe at logon.

## File locations

| Typical install | C:\Program Files\Nox\\ |
| --------------- | ---------------------- |

## File formats

Android APKs you install inside the VM

## Common problems

### Toolbar or extra exe after setup

That was an installer offer. Remove the extra app in Settings. Nox.exe is the emulator.

### Virtualization errors

Use Nox’s own help. Pasting BlueStacks steps can make it worse.

## Getting unstuck

### Install from bignox.com and decline extras

The vendor site is the real path. A “Nox plus Magisk pack” is out of scope here.

### Confirm Nox.exe, not HD-Player.exe

Wrong vendor support is a time sink.

### Uninstall leftover offers first if the PC feels busy

The emulator plus a partner toolbar is two problems. Task Manager names both.

## Alternatives

BlueStacks or LDPlayer if you want a different vendor. GameLoop for Tencent’s PUBG Mobile path. Uninstall if you only wanted a phone.
