## What is PDF24 Creator?

PDF24 Creator is a free Windows PDF utility suite. pdf24.exe is the desktop assistant. Adobe Acrobat is a paid editor from Adobe. They do not share a license.

If you need a free merge, split, or PDF printer without paying Adobe, this is PDF24 Creator, not Acrobat. Download the Windows app from tools.pdf24.org/en/creator. Acrobat.exe is the paid Adobe editor. PDF24 is Geek Software in Germany. The virtual printer shows up in Windows as a PDF24 printer.

### Unexpected PDF24 printer

The Creator installs a printer. Remove the app from Settings if you did not want it. That is not an Adobe printer.

### People upload a confidential file to the website by habit

The Windows Creator can stay local. Check which PDF24 surface you used.

A "PDF24 free" search ad is the wrong file. Geek Software's site is the source.

### Remove the printer by uninstalling PDF24 Creator

Deleting a printer queue alone can leave pdf24.exe. Use Settings > Apps.

### If you needed Acrobat Pro features, buy Acrobat

PDF24 is not a hidden Adobe SKU. That is the sibling-swap test.

## Alternatives

Adobe Acrobat, Sumatra PDF, and Windows Print to PDF overlap. Acrobat is the paid sibling this article is not.
