Privacy Policy

This policy covers this website, feex.it. It does not describe data handled by the Feex desktop application. Consult the privacy information supplied with your app version.

What we collect

The waitlist sends the email address you type into the form. Wiki search sends the words you type after a short pause so the service can return matching public articles.

Wiki articles also offer an optional feedback form. Its record contains your yes or no usefulness vote, any reasons you select, an optional written comment, and the submission timestamp. This record is stored only in your browser and is not sent to Feex or any other service.

Why we collect it

We use the waitlist email for access invitations and product updates. Search queries and article paths let us return the public knowledge you request. Hosting and performance information helps us operate the site. We do not sell or rent waitlist addresses or share them for anyone else's marketing.

Hosting and analytics

Cloudflare hosts and delivers this website and receives ordinary request information, including your IP address, requested URL, and browser user agent. Cloudflare Web Analytics collects page-view and performance information. Cloudflare states that this analytics service does not use cookies or fingerprint individuals. See Cloudflare Web Analyticsfor its privacy approach. The website code does not add advertising pixels.

Where it goes

Your address is sent to our own waitlist service at foxhole.feex.it and stored there. A copy is also kept in your own browser's local storage, under the keyfeex_landing_waitlist_v2, purely so we do not ask you to sign up twice on your next visit. Clearing your browser's site data removes it.

Each wiki feedback record is kept in your browser's local storage under a key beginning withfw-article-feedback:. It is never transmitted. Clear the stored records by clearing browser site data for feex.it.

Opening a wiki article requests that article's public path and content fromfoxhole.feex.it. Feex sends no search words, device inventory, or telemetry in that data request. Images within that article can make additional asset requests to the same service. Like an ordinary website request, the service receives network metadata such as your IP address and browser user agent.

Wiki search sends the entered query to foxhole.feex.it and receives up to eight matching titles and public paths. It does not download the full article index or send device inventory or telemetry. The same ordinary network metadata accompanies this request.

The public knowledge API at feex.it/api/v1/ also accepts search queries and article paths. These requests pass through Cloudflare and the website adapter to the public Foxhole service. The adapter does not forward caller cookies or authorization headers. Do not include personal information or secrets in a public search query or URL.

How long we keep it

The public API uses temporary request counters keyed by network address to limit bursts. Counters expire after one minute and are kept only in the serving runtime's memory. The rate limiter does not write addresses or counters to a database or application logs. Requests from a shared network address can share an allowance. See the API policy.

We keep your waitlist email until early access opens and for a reasonable period after, or until you ask us to delete it, whichever comes first. Wiki feedback remains only in your browser until you clear the site data. We do not receive or retain a copy of it.

The Foxhole application does not save wiki search queries, requested article paths, IP addresses, or browser user agents in its database or write them to its application logs. The Feex hosting reverse proxy records the requested URL, IP address, and user agent in standard access logs for security and reliability. Those logs rotate daily and are retained for no more than 14 days.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of what we hold, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Emailsupport@feex.it and we will action it. If you are in the UK or EU, you also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

Changes

If this policy changes materially, we will update the date at the top. There is no mailing list for policy changes because the only list we have is the waitlist.
