Common problems
Blank window, site is down
The wrapper needs the Figma site. This is not a local AI file.
Thought Adobe owned Figma
The deal was cancelled in 2023. Sign in at figma.com, not account.adobe.com.
Getting unstuck
Confirm Figma.exe
AppData\Local\Figma is the usual wrapper. Illustrator.exe is Adobe.
Install from figma.com/downloads
Avoid random Figma.exe hosts.
Clear the wrapper cache
Figma documents a cache reset. Reinstalling Illustrator will not help.
Alternatives
Illustrator, Penpot, and Sketch on other platforms overlap. Illustrator does not replace a Figma file.
